J O Y encompasses my being -

a call inviting my own inner child out to laugh.

a chance to play,

weaving dreams between the masses,

powered by turns of discovery.

Parker Wozniak is a poet, storyteller, movement artist, theatre enthusiast, and lifelong learner.  Creative expression is the paint that fuels their excitement for discovery.  Every art form they encounter and play with provides new language and an opportunity to connect beyond themself.  Their educational background is in chemistry and is combined with experience in theatre, dance, and education. Currently residing in Austin, TX, they are dedicated to cultivating community spaces that invite a sense of play and engage the entire body. Communities that inspire their work include young people, the disabled community, and the LGBTQ+ community. In every shared space they believe there is a story to share and deeply appreciate the opportunity to witness and engage with people’s bravery.

Parker’s commitment to community is viewed through the lens of a painted universe.  Stars and planets, moons, galaxies, all of varying texture, density, and chemistry exist in a world together.  Expansive and all encompassing, the painted universe is continually evolving and influenced by the bodies of mass dancing with each other in space.  Recognizing this influence, they understand the value of intentionally developing meaningful relationships.  They respect the responsibility of cultivating these dynamics that are inviting and accessible for every person.  This foundation of respect is essential in order to honor and uplift the collective stories held within a space.  Using theatre as a tool for expression, they hope to continue bridging communities, one painted universe at a time.
